1. What is meant by the 10 – 20 – 30 rule.

The 10 – 20 – 30 rule includes that you should have 10 slides, it should be given in 20 minutes and the smallest point used should be 30.2. Explain why it is important to make sure that you are effective in the presentation of your nominee.

I have to make sure that I am effective in the presentation of my nominee because so then people dont get bored off and also I am trying to sell my nominee to the crowd and I need something that will interest them.

Journal Entry 8- A look at the Parables

1.) Read the following parables and identify the inspiring quality that Jesus is trying to teach us.

In the parable of the unmerciful servant, I believe that Jesus is trying to teach us that you should be patient with other people when they need to give you something and He is also trying to teach us that everyone has problems that they need to overcome, in this parable money problem. The inspiring quality is that the master was kind enough to cancel the dept that the servant owed him and forgiveness is a main one.

In the parable of the Persistant Widow, I think that Jesus is trying to tecach us that you should never give up and keep trying until you succed. I believe that this is also the inspiring quality in this parable

In the parable of the Rich Young Man, Jesus teachers us that you should always be willing to keep on trying and this is that qualitiy that is dempnstrated in this parable.

The links below will take you to the 3 parables as shown below

The Parable of the Unmerciful Servant
The Parable of the Persistent Widow
The Parable of the Rich Young Man

2.) Provide an example of real life situation or person who has demonstrated any of the qualities you have listed.

The inspiring quality that I have chosen is determination and if you keep on trying, you will succed.

An example of this is 2006 Ashes Test Match, in Adeliade where it was Australia vs England. England batted first and set a first innings total of 551 for 6 Declared, then Australia came out to bat and they got a first innings total of 513, with a brilliant 142 from Ricky Ponting. In Englands 2nd Innings was going fine and it came to the last day, where Australia needed 6 early wickets to have a chance of winning the match. It was looking like it would be a draw. But then resuming the day with 4 for 76, they had a middle order callapse where they got bowled out for 129, which turned it all around for Australia. Coming out to bat, Australia with Matthew Hayden and Justin Langer got off to a flyer with 13 of the first 2 overs. Then a slight stumbe bringing Ricky Ponting and Mike Hussey to the crease. When Micheal Clarke came to the crease, it looked like it would remain as a draw, but Mike Hussey started hiting them around the park. He finished off the match with 61no. and completed one of the best wins in Australia’s cricket history.

Mike Hussey capping off a great victory for the Australians
